Personable . Memorable . Inspiring
Ceremonies!
Welcome

Hello, and thank you for taking the time to look at my website.
A celebrant wedding is the most flexible ceremony you can imagine. The words said are all ones you choose, not ones that are imposed on you by faith, tradition or the law.
With a celebrant wedding, you can have your ceremony anywhere, on any day of the week and at any time.
Some couples prefer a more traditional approach – others seek out something more alternative – some are spiritual – others ordinary – extraordinary, some are more simple – whatever makes you happy.
It’s my job and passion to ensure I make your visions and dreams happen by creating a ceremony that’s reflective of you both.

About Me
Hi, my name is Eddie. I am a professional celebrant based in Northumberland working closely with individuals, couples and families across the county.
Retiring after a 29 Year successful career in one of the leading mails companies in the UK, I took some time to reflect upon what career path I could take that would reflect my outgoing and enthusiastic personality.
Having witnessed celebrants create and deliver unique
ceremonies at my own family ceremonies, I gained an appreciation of the amazing difference a professional celebrant makes to an occasion. I decided that my I interpersonal my skills and personal values. would lend themselves to be a professional celebrant and I am thoroughly delighted to be working within this area.

I bring years of experience with presenting to large groups of people and making them feel involved. I feel getting to know the true people I am working with is so key for me to conduct a ceremony that their friends and loved ones will be talking about for years! With a background in entertaining, acting and singing. I am a great communicator. A good example of this is the technique I have for ‘warming up’ the assembled guests before either of the happy couple arrive. I explain that they are not there as spectators but rather as important people to the happy couple.
I am a professional, I am a fully trained Member of the Fellowship of Professional Celebrants.
I am keen to start creating some wonderful ceremonies for you all.
Give me a call and we can meet up and start planning !! I cant wait to hear from you.

Many couples planning a wedding want to hold their wedding ceremony in a place that means something to them. Celebrant weddings offer a much wider range of venue options than just register offices, religious buildings or approved/licensed premises.
Obtaining a Local Authority licence for civil marriage is often not a viable option for some venues. Others would not be granted a licence, for a variety of (usually bureaucratic!!) reasons.
However, these establishments remain an extremely desirable option for many couples seeking a venue for your wedding ceremony.
Many unlicensed venues are unaware that it is perfectly acceptable to host a celebrant-led ceremony on their premises. No licence required!
Couples would take care of the legal formalities at their local register office leaving them free to have their wedding celebration at the venue of their choice – including unlicensed venues, outdoor venues etc.
You don’t need a registrar at an unlicensed venue, the answer is simple. If you are not using a Registrar you don’t have to think about a licensed or approved venue where the demand for weddings will be highest. You can have your ceremony anywhere you wish.

The Process
Enquiry
We receive your enquiry and send you confirmation of availability.
Consultation
A consultation takes place where we establish a relationship and we discuss all of the things that you want to include in your special day.
This consultation is critical to the success of your day – it’s where I start to form the basics of the type of ceremony that you’ve always dreamed of!
During this consultation, we can build on the information you have provided so that I can write you a tailor-made Ceremony.
You can include any special readings, poems or wording you’ve chosen (I’ll help you select these if you wish).
You will have the opportunity to amend anything you choose.
Confirmation
If, after our free initial chat via face to face, Skype or on the telephone, you decide that you’d like me to conduct your Ceremony, I will email you a booking form asking for a deposit. Once I’ve received your non-refundable deposit and completed booking
form, I will email you a questionnaire and suggestions for rituals and traditions that youmay wish to include in your Ceremony.
Getting Creative - Writing Your Content
This is such a lovely part of our journey!! I love putting all of my notes into an outline for you, and this will show you how things could run during your ceremony.
I then use all of the lovely information that you have given me to create your very own unique ceremony words. I positively encourage your interaction at this stage, and so do feel free to reach out with ideas, or indeed for help – you can have as much input into the process as you want.

Ceremony Rituals
There are many beautiful and meaningful wedding ceremonies and rituals which can be included in your wedding and I can help guide and explain them for you if that’s what you wish, from lighting candles to layering colours of sand, there’s a wedding ceremony ritual to fit every couple’s style.

Time Capsules are an excellent way of adding a personal touch to your Wedding Ceremony. They can be a plain, or decorated, box, a small vintage suitcase or even a biscuit tin.
They can include whatever you want them to. Some simply contain a sealed love letter detailing your hopes for the future, from each of you, and perhaps a bottle of wine so that you can enjoy a drink, together, when you reopen the capsule.

A Sand Ceremony is the perfect option for a couple that is looking for a non-denominational unity ceremony for their wedding.
In a sand ceremony, you will pour 2 different colours of sand together, symbolising the blending of the bride and groom’s lives.
Find some sand and a few vases, write your vows, and you’ll be nearly ready to include a sand ceremony on your special day!
Hand-fasting is a symbolic unity ritual in which a couple stand face to face as their hands are tied together – hence the phrase, tying the knot!
As your hands are bound, you can recite words that express your commitment to one another.

Planting. There is no better way to signify the beginning of new life than to literally plant (or pot) new life; a tree, a favourite shrub or plant.
As your love and marriage grows and develops, so too will your plantation.

When you work with me, you can have the ceremony you want – irrespective of how quirky or zany it may sound!
Every kind of ceremony, small and intimate to large party, every theme from romantic fairy tale, beach, woodland, steam punk, retro, endless possibilities.
